Whether on TV or online, it seems like most of the stories and headlines these days are negative. It can feel like nothing good is going on in our country. But as we prepare to celebrate another Independence Day, we think it’s a good idea to reflect on the many wonderful things that make America special.

The Fourth of July is not only about celebrating our nation’s birthday, but also an opportunity to appreciate how lucky we are to call America home. So, in honor of Independence Day, here are some of the things we personally appreciate about the United States of America!

Our Natural Beauty

From rainforests to deserts, from tall mountains to vast prairies, the United States is home to almost every type of climate and ecosystem imaginable. As a result, we’re blessed with sixty-three national parks, eighty-five national monuments, thirteen national lakeshores and seashores, and nineteen national preserves.

Our Culture

From food to music, sports to science, and the arts to education, the United States has been at the forefront of many of the world’s most beloved art forms, cuisines, technological advancements, and pastimes. Because the United States has always been a place where people are free to dream, experiment, and be whatever they want to be, Americans are always innovating, pushing the boundaries, and creating new ways to live and enjoy life to its fullest.

Our Patriotism

While we may all have different opinions about how the U.S. should be managed, there’s one thing we all share, and that is love for our country. It’s something you see and feel every Independence Day. It’s reflected in the eyes of the aging veteran saluting the Stars and Stripes. It’s reflected in the eyes of the youngest child as they stare up at the sky, watching fireworks for the first time.

And it resounds in our hearts whenever we hear the strains of the Star-Spangled Banner and remember that it is through our patriotism that this remains the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

We urge you to take a moment this Independence Day to think about what you appreciate about our country.

On behalf of our entire team, we wish you and your family a very happy Indepen
